Every economy has to deal with three basic questions of what to produce, how and for whom. In this week's discussion we look at the the way these questions are answered in the US economy. We will examine the portion of our production and consumption that is in farming, manufacturing and services. We look at the form of business organizations that dominate production and sales. And we address the distribution of income among households in the US
